York County high school students introduce STEM unit to elementary students

(WHTM)– Dallastown High School students designed and built a mobile STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math – unit.

The high schoolers invited elementary students Wednesday into the mobile unit and showed third and fourth graders what they built and how they built it.

“This is an opportunity for them to actually see what they’re learning in the classroom and actually put it to use outside of the classroom,” tech education teacher Jay Rexroth said. “And why are they learning the math while they’re learning the science and the technology. It just, again, will affect their lives in the future.’
