Details: Zelenskyy has arrived in Manila for talks with President of the Philippines Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

A meeting between the two heads of state is scheduled for Monday morning at the Malacañang Palace [the residence of the Philippine leader – ed.].

However, PNA noted that the Palace had not disclosed details of the meeting.

Update: Zelenskyy later said he had arrived in the Philippines to meet with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Quote: "I have arrived in the Philippines and met with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for the first time in the history of our bilateral relations.

I am grateful to the Philippines for its support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, for its clear position on Russia's aggression against our country, and for its support of important UN resolutions. Ukraine intends to open an embassy in Manila this year to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

We discussed the inaugural Global Peace Summit and the importance of Southeast Asian countries being represented at it. We appreciate that the Philippines will participate in the Summit.

We also discussed bilateral cooperation, including the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to the Philippines."
