By now, you've no doubt come across 11foot8.com, a website dedicated to the video footage of inattentive truck drivers getting up close and personal with a lower-than-normal bridge. The videos are entertaining; the carnage is often extensive. But have you ever wondered what it would look like in slow motion?

YouTube's Slow Mo Guys set up a couple of slow-motion cameras and a simulated low bridge to find out exactly what happens in gruesome frame-by-frame.

It ain't pretty. As anyone who's rented a moving truck knows, the cargo box of most large haulers is made out of aluminum and plywood. Thankfully, that means they tear away from the truck if, say, you blithely drive under an overpass with a minimum height that's several inches shorter than your truck. The bad news is, the damage inflicted by such a boneheaded move is usually extensive. A fender bender this ain't.

Anyway, it's not surprising what happens here, but it's strangely satisfying to watch. And while you're at it, check out the compilation of the best (worst) 11-foot-8 bridge mishaps the internet has ever seen.
