A's Activate Aledmys Díaz, Designate Tyler Nevin

The Oakland A's announced today that Aledmys Díaz has been activated from the 60-day IL, and to make room for him on the roster, they have designated Tyler Nevin for assignment. Nevin was claimed off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles at the end of March, and hit .316 in April with a .389 OBP and three homers. The 26-year-old has already been in three organizations this season, beginning with the Detroit Tigers before landing with the O's, then the A's. As for Díaz, he is set to make his season debut with the A's after being placed on the IL at the end of March with a right calf strain.
