Recap: Will Smith Provides Dodgers With Game-Winning Double In Extra Innings

The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a comeback win in extra innings, defeating the San Francisco Giants, 6-4, with Will Smith providing the game-winning hit. Yoshinobu Yamamoto took the mound looking to continue a run where he posted 1.76 ERA with a 0.90 WHIP and just shy of 10 strikeouts per nine innings over his last seven outings. It was the first start he's failed to complete six innings or more since April 12, ending a run of four consecutive outings. Most of the damage came in the second inning when he allowed two singles, and then a three-run homer to Luis Matos.
