Michael Grove, a starting pitcher in 18 of his first 25 big-league games in 2022 and 2023, has pushed himself to become an effective part of the Dodgers bullpen.
Michael Grove has been one of the Los Angeles Dodgers' better relievers this season after initially getting off to a slow start. Grove's emergence has been key in the wake of Evan Phillips, Joe Kelly and Ryan Brasier all landing on the 15-day injured list. Brusdar Graterol also has not thrown a pitch this year due to left hip trouble and right shoulder discomfort.
Wheeling Park graduate Michael Grove emerged from the Los Angeles Dodgers' bullpen for a second consecutive night posting a second consecutive perfect seventh inning in Saturday's 4-0 win vs. the Cincinnati Reds. Grove struck out two batters in his inning of work Saturday night, one night after earning a win in Friday's night's game with a perfect seventh in that ball game as well.
